Catching Up!

Wow, April already! I've been meaning to put up christmas pics and email everyone for months. Well here it is! It's been nice down here. Warm and sunny, cringe everytime I see the world weather reports, -5 in Oslo last week....that is COLD! Winter is creeping up on us here as well, been geting darker and colder ever so slowly. That nice tan from christmas holidays is fading away and I am my usual pale self.
These last few weeks I've been so homesick keep having dreams about being in Norway, although in my dreams it always seem to be summer! Am looking forward to a trip home in july, so annoyed I'm missing the class reunion though. But at least i'll be there for the Gla' mat festival, that's always good fun.

We had a weekend in Sydney, to visit Kate who's down here travelling and working for a year. It was nice to catch up. Am still hoping we'll have a reunion in Torino someday! That'd be so much fun. Been really wanting to go back while watching the olympics and seing all the familiar places. Would love to have a bottle of wine at the cafe Hafa, or a pint at murphys again. I have yet to find anyplace weirder and more fun than Gian Carlo!

Back to Australia. Here's us in front of the Christmas tree at Darling Harbour! Can you see the tree?

Here's Simon opening his gifts on Christmas morning.

We spent Christmas on the coast, which was soooo nice. It's such a pretty place. We even went camping one night as simon bought me a tent for christmas. He forgot to buy sleeping bags though so after freezing our butts off the whole night we decided one night of camping was enough until we got proper sleeping gear! Yep, we're not really suited for camping. But hopefully we'll try again sometime.
There were plent of beaches to visit and lots of sun. We brought our boogie boards and had a few surfs. And a few beers at night, all in all it was fairly relaxing and nothing much happened. We got back in canberra for new years. Which we spent with some friends of Simons. It was a fun party and I got to learn all these really peculiar drinking games aussies play when pissed, such as the very popular game of sock wrestling. Gotta be seen, it would go off in Norway.

Here's us at New Years Eve

Since new years we haven't been doing much, mostly just working and hanging out in Canberra. I'm working at a printing house, doing pre-press stuff. The days have pretty much just flown by. Am planning a trip to Brisbane in a few weeks for a wedding, will only be a mini week, but it'll be great to get out of canberra for a few days, and it should still be warm up there.
