Helsinki
We just had a great weekend in Helsinki! Such a beautiful city, with friendly people and great food. Loved those meat pie thingys at the market!Didn't do much sightseeing as we went there mostly to visit Kirsi. But we did walk by this lovely church several times.

We spent the whole day on this little island 15min outside of the city. Caught a ferry across and strolled to the supermarket. Which was tiny but full of beer. So we had a beer and pringles picnic. It was a beautiful day, so warm and sunny, it was hard to leave but eventually the beer ran out, and we had planned to go on this pub tram, to do a tour of the city. Unfortunately we sat there so long that we missed the last pub tram. Oh well...we'll be back for it!

After the lovely day on the island we went back into town, to this pub to meet up with Kirsis friends. They were a great bunch of people, Simon got to borrow some sunnies from one of the guys there.
One of Kirsis friends were in this band which was playing at the pub. Think they were called 'the sleeping under water society'
Here's all the girls. A very lively bunch, the party didn't end before 5 or 6 or something like that, think I passed out before everyone had gone home.
After a hard night out we spent our last day recovering. Slept in and enjoyed a slow sunday. Got our stuff together and went down to the harbour market where we got some food and sat there for a few hours. It was good to get on the plane home, so exhausted after a very fun weekend! But I thought Helsinki was great and will be back for sure.
